Ellyn Yakowenko serves as the Director of Global Programs. Ellyn ensures forward-looking, catalytic grant-making and provides thought leadership on child wasting across the organization and its community of partners. Before joining OES in 2026, Ellyn worked at the International Rescue Committee as Project Director for the Delivery System for Scale and also headed Action Against Hunger’s Research and Learning team at Action Against Hunger USA. Ellyn holds both an M.A. in International Development from American University and a B.A. from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
